Who in the world is A'zeal?!

Thot you'd never ask :)...
My roots extend all the way back to west africa, where the shores of the Atlantic meets the beautiful Island of Victoria. Lagos, that's the spot.

I'm a biotech graduate as well as a rapper and spoken-word but hasn't had enuff courage to make it a career choice.

I'm in my early 20's...and I love fried chicken.

Yes, I'm a gurl...lady, woman; whichever 1 you prefer.

A dedicated, devoted and unashamed christian, representin' the cause of the Christ in a world that crucified him. Above all, I live for His call.


I draw inspiration from fellow poets to tv shows, driving on the highway and chilling at my hideout at the lake. Expectedly, I love Def Poetry on HBO...can't speak enuff on how inspired I've been listening to such flows from those beautiful minds. More Grease Ya'll.

Introduction...

On the weekdays I wear a labcoat, on the weekends I pick up my microphone. My mind has always wondered about science and discovery, but my heart has been captured by poetry.

I go by the stage name A'zeal. A for Aima, and zeal becos that's what I'm about...Zeal.

But it's like I'm living 2 different lives that couldn't possibly coexist. My love for spoken-word, and performing is unrivaled by anything else. I've always been a writer, but the ecstatic joy of delivering my thots and compositions to a crowd is so delicious to my soul. I dunno.

Had a show this past week @ worcester, mass. It wuz all dat.

Being a female rapper and s-w artist ain't easy. I'm already judged to be wack even b4 I pick up the mic, but it's okay really. Cos I enjoy the part where I demolish them stereotypes and leave the audience inspired. I know it wuz tight when they tell me to "do it again".

But i'm coming to the part where I hafta make a sincere decesion...scientist or artist?
